Discount or Not?

I saw this and was so impressed with the discounts that I wrote them down in my catalog so I can share at parties!! Selling collections is a great way to boost your sales!

Heather Reynolds - VT - Aug 17, 2011
Ok its that time of year again, new catalog with new gifts, so how much can you save by purchasing a gift over the items individually? I've done the math!

Always remember, if its in a box its not a discount:
Everyday Goodness, Warm Gatherings, Perfect party are not less expensive than
purchasing the products individually (my guess is because of the cost of the box)

Now for the rest of the products, this is how it breaks down:

-Ultimate Seasonings $74.95 for the set, $83.89 individually, savings of 10.7% ($8.94)

-Party Time $89.95, individually $110.35, savings of 18.5% ($20.40)

-Sweet Appreciation $49.95, individually $60.91, savings of 18% ($10.96)

-Bountiful Baking $29.95, individually $37.43, savings of 20% ($7.48)

-Souper Douper $26.95, individually $29.92, savings of 10% ($2.97)

- Cookies & Cocoa $19.95, individually $25.92, savings of 23% ($5.97) -- just a
clarification here I took the price of each cocoa individually, not the price for the cocoa pals

-Cozy Comfort $19.95, individually $24.92, savings of 20% ($4.97)

-Its That Simple $14.95, individually $18.43, savings of 19% ($3.48)

-Popcorn Party $16.95, individually 20.93, savings of 19% ($3.98)

- Cocoa Pals $11.95, individually $13.98, savings of 14.5% ($2.03)

So that's the gift breakdown! I hope this helps you sell more gifts!!! Seriously who doesn't LOVE a sale?!?

New Season Is Coming...READY?

I'm getting so excited that the new season is coming!! I wanted to take a moment and give you a few tips to get that September calendar filled and start the new season strong! Get your calendar and lets plan...

Have an open house in your home and invite your neighbors. Make it a ‘get acquainted’ party and share with them what you do and about who you and your family are. Have a Mystery Hostess drawing; this is where you award the hostess credits to one of the guests.

Attend trade shows, fairs, expos, events. Check on local activities and reserve well in advance. Be sure to have a drawing for a small prize, this assures you many names and phone numbers to call as booking and recruit leads.

Give out your catalog or brochures at dentist, doctors, the bank or anywhere you do business. Use last season’s catalogs with a sticker containing your name, email address, and/or phone number and a note saying something like, “Contact me and for an updated catalog and to book your taste testing party!”

At a party, offer your host the 1/2 price item and rebook her for the following season. If you have not rebooked your host call them up and offer a special gift if they book in September. Don't give away the moon! Keep it simple!

Offer party guests a gift for giving you referrals of people they know who would possibly book a party with you.

Let's rock the new season together! Set a goal and lets reach it!! Cheering you on!!!

Saving For The New Season

We're just a few short weeks away from the start of our new season! Before you know it, its going to be time to restock your supplies with the new Fall/Winter line of products. Start putting away money now from your party sales so come mid August you're ready to restock and hit the Fall/Winter Season running. Saving back $100 - $150 will give you a good start on the upcoming season. Below is a list of supplies you'll want to restock:

  • Catalogs

  • Order Forms

  • Invitations

  • Party Food Kits (Don't forget, if you have parties scheduled for September you'll need to purchase party food kits for each party. What I like to do is call my host to see if she would like to place a reorder and see if she would like to purchase a drink bucket or a specialty item for her upcoming party)

  • Expo Flyer's

  • New Line To Sample & Display

  • There may be a few optional items to add to the list when the exciting news comes out after Nationals. Don't be caught unprepared for the upcoming season. Its the perfect time to start planning.
