Word Scramble

Do you like playing games at your parties? I know some host LOVE games so I always like to have one on hand. I like to keep my parties fresh and new and creating games is one way to keep something new. I always keep one thing in mind when playing a game...the game MUST have purpose to benefit my business. I don't just want to play a game to take up time, no it must have purpose.


How To Play Word Scramble Game



Go HERE to create your own game page



During dessert pass out the game sheet having everyone keep the name sheet turned upside down.



Before the party decide which page in the catalog you're going to play. Have your guest turn to that page and read the product names aloud.



On GO have them turn the page over and start searching for the words that match the products you just read. They can use their catalog as a reference guide.



The one who completes the game and has all the correct words circled is the winner!!





Prize & Your Purpose



I keep a small goodie basket with me at my parties. Inside I keep the $1.99 cookbooks, the Itty Bitty Chai, individual pack of Garlic Garlic and I like to purchase the Trio and place those spices in my basket too.



I pass my goodie basket to the winner and let her choose a gift! Once she chooses a gift I tell her about my Super Size Deal...if she chooses to book a party with me I will Super Size Her gift!!

Itty Bitty Chai - Super Sizes To A Jar Of Oh, My! Chai



Cook Book - Super Sizes to Any Single Items in our catalog to help her make a delicious recipe.



If you feel she gives you a YES then go with it but if she looks at you like I'm not sure what to say then just say, at check out we will look at the calendar and get your party scheduled on a date that works for you...then move on to dessert.



Tip: Before going to the party make a score key page so you can find the answers too making sure they did not get skipped.



CAUTION: This game is fun and often they want to play again so be ready for double booking!!!

Host Folders



Now that my Tastefully Simple business is growing and I'm keeping a consistent party schedule, I had to get myself organized so I can keep up with the individual needs of each party. Its easy to forget who has which food kit or who needs more invitations. All the details can run together, I had to come up with a system that worked for me so I decided to use an expanding file folder for my system.


I like the file folder system because I can place everything I need for a party in the folder and it keeps me organized. I also like it because its portable and I can take it with me to make host coaching calls or client care calls as I'm on the go. Here is a list of what I place in each folder...

By having these supplies in my folder I'm setting up my party for success. After the party, I place all the order forms in the file so I have a reference if any questions should arise. I don't have to scramble around to find someones order form, I just go to that particular party and pull the file. After the party I add the party party recap form so I know what to expect for the next party.


After the party is closed and I follow up in two weeks with a courtesy call to each client, I then place the whole file in another file box that I keep at my desk. Example: If I close the party in June, I'll place the file in the August slot, then when August rolls around I call those clients to see if they would like to restock their pantry or book a party to restock their pantry FREE. You work hard to get your clients, don't let them get away by not following up with a client care call. If they like our products, their going to find them one way or another and they may just find another consultant who is also looking for clients!

Keep them loyal to you!

FRANK





Do you have an on going FRANK list? I know, you're thinking what is FRANK? Well, FRANK is one of my best friends in my business. FRANK has saved me many times when I've allowed my business to get stale or stagnant.


F - Friends
R - Relatives
A - Acquaintances
N - Neighbors
K - Kid Connections


Most of us have at least 200 hundred people in our network through our family, job, and connections in the community. Make a list of everyone you know using FRANK and you’ll be surprised at what you come up with! Contact your FRANK list and work on booking parties with them. Tastefully Simple gives us great tools to help build a successful business. One tool I love to help me with my FRANK is the Who Do You Know form. Print it out and start filling it out! I like to keep mine in a 3 ring binder so I can keep an on going list and keep an eye on my notes. Don't just fill it out and look at it, pick up the phone and make the call. Email is good, but a personal phone call is more likely to result in you getting the booking so pick up the phone and call! Can't wait to hear about your success!!!

Don't you just love getting things FREE? I know I sure do! I had a gift card for our logo company Merrill, so I chose this cute garden flag and placed it near my mail box to let all my neighbors know where they can come to restock! Just wanted to give Tastefully Simple a big THANK YOU shout out!!

Party Folders

When I go to a party I want everything organized and ready for a quick set up so I have time to meet the guest as they arrive and talk with the host. When I start the party I want the guest to have everything they need in one spot so no one is looking for a pen or someone needs a catalog or someone needs a door prize ticket. I like to start organized so we don't have to stop and waist time. Time is money and I don't like giving either of them away.I found these folders at Staples a few years ago and wish I had more but as my parties have grown I've added the solid color folders. I like the clear/frosted ones because they showcase the catalog.



In the front of the folder I have a pencil pack in which I keep business cards, pen and if I'm doing a game or door prize I'll keep those supplies in there as well.



I use two page protectors and I utilize the front and back. In the front cover I place our Fresh Features which I change out monthly. These can be found by going to the following:

  • Market Your Business



  • Lapboard Inserts


Make sure you customise them with your contact information. Never give out anything unless it has your information. They may not remember your name and will choose a different consultant




The next page I copy the map out of the Gazette Magazine. I like to copy this because again its a numbers visual to my guest. I mention what a great opportunity TS and as they can see we're not swamped with consultants so there is room to really grow a great business. When I show them this map you can see eyes lighting up and those are the people I zoom in on for potential consultants. I don't change this page but once every few months or as the numbers on the map make a significant change.



The next page I change out often. I like to spark ideas in their mind so I'll change this page to match the holiday or a seasonal flyer. My guest love these.


On the last page I keep several copies of the Everyday Easy Recipes. I encourage my guest to take them home if they would like. Most of the time when they take them, they purchase products that are featured in the recipes!



The last page I keep several order forms. Why several? Because during my party I stress that we ship directly to their home so if they need to ship a gift to someone there is an additional order from for them to do that. At this time I also mention our military and that they can ship to APO address. Many people love to send gifts to encourage our troops...so why not send TS!!



After the folders are all stocked and ready to go I place them in my handy bag from TS and I'm off to the party. Like this bag? Well, you can go HERE to order one that is even better then my bag!

Oops!!

Ok, so not every party goes as smooth as you would like. A few parties ago I was doing my normal presentation and at the beginning I was telling the guest about the product binder. I said; ".....in case you have a food allergy like maybe "weed" our binder will tell you all the ingredient!" I meant to say, wheat!!! Needless to say it got a good laugh and one lady said "I'll take one of everything!" Then I said it again at the very next party!!! I've changed my verbiage now so I do not include wheat at all and when it comes to the Savory Wheat Bread.....I just skip it!
